A As preposições fazem parte do grupo de termos denominado “palavras de função”.

A Uma conjunção é uma palavra que conecta frases ou elementos de uma frase.

B A conjunção and é classificada como aditiva, enquanto a conjunção but é chamada adversativa.

C As correlative conjunctions são sempre usadas aos pares, ou seja, elas nunca aparecem sozinhas.

D Algumas conjunções são formadas por mais de uma palavra: as long as, as soon as, except that, in order that, so as to, provided that.

E São exemplos de conjunções coordenativas: after, although, as, before, if, since, that, until, when, whereas, while, once, so, as soon as, provided that.
